Ancient Stone Age and Iron Age monuments surround the Thoresta Herrgrd estate. The estate’s original name, Thorlastum, likely originated with Thorleif or Thorlaf, and the words steadier or stadh, meaning place—the first recorded use dates around 1349.
The building was built in 1780 by Christopher Posse to the right of the current manor house. The main building was pushed to Norrk ping in 1835, rebuilt stone by stone. As a result, one of the branches was converted into a new main building.

Thoresta Herrg rd has 40 spaces and can bear 70 guests. Our bedrooms are light and airy; some allow us to take full advantage of our square footage, while others offer a peaceful retreat. Our 40 bedrooms are spread out across our red wing, on the left side of the main manor. You’ll find four premium suites with an old-fashioned tub and a small private terrace.

Oren is a two-floor home with a fully equipped kitchen, conference space with an open fire, and a great glass balcony. Upstairs there are three spacious bedrooms. Ren also creates a private wood-fired sauna and open-air Jacuzzi, perfect after a day of business meetings.
